Gary goes back to school with Sky One

To mark the launch of their Autumn programme line-up, Sky One invited members of the media to a themed ‘Back to School’ night at Westminster’s Central Hall.
Complete with black cape and school bell, Gary was enlisted to play the role of a stern teacher, registering ‘pupils’ on arrival. Once registered all pupils were gathered in the assembly hall. Gary then took to the stage's lecturn, to introduce ‘Headmaster’ Richard Woolfe-Head of Sky One and Noel Edmonds, host of ‘Are you smarter than a ten year old’. Each was proceeded by a mini ten-year old version of themselves!
Once the assembly had concluded, pupils were ushered into the library room, where elements from popular Sky One programmes were brought to life. This included Prison Break cells featuring weight-lifting convicts, contortionists and tattoo artists. Naughty school girls ran around giggling with prefects, as Gary presented 'Are you smarter than a ten year old' questions to members of the media.

With the tuck shop in full swing and champagne milk bottles in abundance, when the school bell finally rang, surprise to say nobody wanted to leave!

Gary revvs up his presenting engine for A1 Grand Prix World Cup of Motorsport

Over two days of pre-season testing at the famous Silverstone circuit Gary was asked to host the prestigious Tyre-Change Challenge.

Members of the international media, celebrities, racing teams and fans all gathered to see who would be crowned the Tyre-Change champion!
A1 GP pits driver against driver and country against country. Bringing together 24 nations, to compete as equals, without financial or technological advantage.
All A1GP teams drive identical cars, making fast pit stops essential to gain a competitive advantage. Each team starts a race weekend with five sets of dry weather ‘slick’ tyres and two sets of wet weather ‘treaded’ tyres. It is then down to the skills and speed of the seven mechanics in the team’s pit lane to ensure their changes are the quickest.

Congratulations to A1 Team Mexico who delivered some great times in the Tyre-Change Challenge!

To promote The Telegraph newspaper's sponsorship of ITV's formula 1 motor racing coverage, Gary recorded a comical sponsorship ident.
